Dr. Ghiyath Nakshbendi: Principal. He has more than 30 years experience in financing, real estate including appraising investment opportunities in hotels, commercial real estate and undeveloped land. He was active in restructuring hotel management companies, buying, selling and rehabilitating hotels. He managed a boutique real estate portfolio out of Los Angeles, California, which consists of 10 hotels (4 of them are 5 stars), apartment complexes, office buildings (one with 1.9 million sq. ft), land under development and Golf course (Seralago, Orlando, FL.) He also taught at colleges and universities on the eastern shores of the USA, in addition to teaching overseas. He earned his MBA from Texas A&M University, and was awarded a Ph.D. from the American University of Washington, D.C. He is a licensed Realtor in the State of Maryland. The Associates ( in alphabetical order by surname): Dr. Saad Akashah: Associate. Is a Senior Industrial Advisor at a prestigious regional financial institution based in Kuwait. Also, he is a member of the Board of several Kuwaiti Firms and was the Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of a leading industrial Kuwaiti company Previously, he was a Senior Research Scientist and a Director of the Petroleum, Petrochemical and Materials Division at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research. Dr. Akashah also taught for many years at the University of Kuwait and other institutions of higher learning. Amer T. Al-Tameemi: Associate. He has more than 30 years of experience in varied business activities in Kuwait and abroad. He held senior executive positions in prominent investment and real estate companies in Kuwait. Currently, he is the chairman of the board of a company listed on the Kuwait Stock Exchange. Also, he is a board member of several companies in Kuwait and abroad. Mr. Al-Tameemi is a well known contributor to regional newspapers and magazines on economic-social issues in the Gulf Region. Also, he heads the Kuwaiti Economic Society (a professional association for economists). He holds a B.S. degree in economics from Clarkson University, a diploma in statistics from the United States Bureau of Census and attended Cornell University. Phil Armstrong: Associate. He has more than 23 years experience in corporate communications, consumer and B2B marketing, public affairs and advertising. Currently he manages one of the prestigious firms in the national public affairs and government relations in Washington, D.C... Prior to his current assignment, he assumed senior positions in three top national public affairs and government relations firms with offices in Washington and New York. His clients have included Fortune 500 companies such as Dup ont, UPS, Northrop Grumman, Unilever and American Airlines; many trade associations, including the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers and the US Chamber of Commerce; and several federal government agencies. Early in his career, he served as deputy assistant secretary for public affairs for the United States Department of Education, and was a press secretary in the United States Department of Defense. Phil received a Bachelor of Science degree from the School of Journalism at the University of Iowa. He is a member of the Counselors Academy of the Public Relations Society of America. Dennis Roland: Associate. Dennis has more than 25 years of experience in real estate investment and management; he served in a senior position with a well known international firm where he held primary responsibilities for several public and private real estate investment portfolios. These responsibilities included acquisitions, dispositions, operations and consulting. He was also a managing director in one of the major U.S. advisory companies in the United States. Over the years, he has been involved with over $10 billion in transactions, while serving on the investment committee of his investment Sangamore Group maintains professional affiliation with lawyers, engineers, financial analysts who are associates of Sangamore Group.
